“Moving” Ceramics

It is May, finally and “Bloom” was only appropriate for this hopefully blooming month, enough of cold and gloom, only long summer days, blooming gardens and blue skies ahead.

Bloom modern living room
“Bloom” an installation by Los Angeles ceramic artist Katherine Dube

An interview with the designer and more pictures of her work is on Houzz, very interesting techniques and beautiful pieces. Could not help think about dust, but sometimes we have to disregard certain issues for the sake of beauty, no ? I love the white on white and the movement of the pieces.

Really really lovely! It's amazing what people can create with the right amount of imagination, no? Happy to catch up on your posts again :)

Well I was happily thinking how beautiful it was, and then you went and popped my happy little bubble with the dust observation.

Which is, of course, perfectly true.
So I shan't love it quite so much any more.

Jimmy, check out "elementclaystudio" by Heather Knight on Etsy:

She creates remarkable art tiles inspired by all kinds of corals and other sea creatures. Absolutely beautiful!
