Lately, I have seen a lot of pictures of this penthouse in Berlin on many blogs and websites. At first I was very neutral about it, but the more I saw it the more it felt cold, and honestly a bit confusing, but then again lots of mirrors do that to me !
I imagined the grey skies of winter in Berlin all reflected inside my apartment and it felt even colder. Do you like ? Dislike ? More on (here)
As promised in my previous post, here are more photos from the work of Gary Hutton. I really like his work and there is this seamless quality that permeates throughout his projects. They are just beautiful to look at.
I have always loved the beauty of Gary Hutton’s designs. They are so elegant, but more importantly they invite to feel good. Don't you think? I admire the designs so much I will dedicate more than one post for his work.
I really, really like the work of the design studio 2Michaels. I like their palette, the sophistication and most of all the “natural” styling. the homes seem to be lived in and personal. Not dry and staged. Hope you like them 2.

Beautiful modern architecture bringing the outdoors indoors. I am sure this was styled for the photo shoot, I would add a bit of warmth without drastically touching the interior, still it is beautiful as is. What do you think ?
A house once occupied by the communist party founder is now home to a new nightclub in Mexico City. As much as I loved the dark and sexy interior, I think the catch is in the contrast between the unaltered exterior and the layered and textured interior.
You have to see the rest of the pictures of this beautiful interior by architects Emmanuel Picault and Ludwig Godefroy. For more go to Dezeen
Lately I have been seeing, on a lot of blogs, dead trees being hung on walls as decorations. Now, don't get me wrong, for some reason I always liked dead trees. I always thought that the shapes and the colors of dead wood has a lot of artistic value in it. But would you hang it instead of art ? what do you think ?

We follow two hundred blogs, if not more. We run to our Google reader and open it and scroll. Stop at a pretty picture or two and maybe even save them to an inspiration file and scroll again, faster and faster we scroll, because we have to rush out or rush into something. We go back to our reader again, perhaps between appointments, and find that the number of unread posts has climbed up again to 800 and we feel that rush again to scroll faster to get that number down, as if it is another job that needs to get done and not so properly too.
We don't stop and read anymore. We tend to forget that a person has actually put the time and effort to put together that post, from finding the right photo to formulating the right words. We forget that a person has actually taken the time to entertain us, we forget to actually read what was written, we forget to see what kind of emotion the writer was trying to convey, we forget to stop for a few seconds, and we forget to say thank you.
One of my favorite blog reads, Blue Fruit, showcased this beautiful project in Brazil. It is true, pictures do sometimes speak louder than words.
